Overview

All Simple are committed to protecting you and your personal information. We are a web hosting company based in the UK, providing a range of services to all sorts of customers all over the world. We are applying the new GDPR rules to all of our customers to give you the control of your personal data and how it is used by us. We will be transparent on all aspects of data collection and it’s use so that you can get on without worrying about it.

What information do we collect?

For us to provide you with a service, we need to collect your personal information for use in our contract with you. This is a legal requirement which is included on your invoices.

The data includes the following:

  • Personal details given when registered
  • Login details including IP addresses and locations
  • Partial Payment details (not full details)
  • Cookies and tracking data

What we do with information you give us and why it is needed?

We collect this information for legal and invoicing reasons and we also use this data to perform fraud checks to check a potential customer is who they say they are. This information is only accessed by the staff that need to see it and it is not misused. If a domain is being registered, your details will be passed on to the registrar for your contract with them.

Who will your information be shared with?

At All Simple we take customer privacy seriously and will only process your personal data to administer your account and to provide the services that you have requested from us. We need to pass on personal details that you have given us to complete transactions such as to payment gateways. We use your data to perform fraud checks which are necessary to check that you are who you say you are. We have never and will never pass on any of your information to other parties for third party sales, marketing or information purposes.

If you sign up to our services through a referral link, we may share information with your referrer to let them know that you used their referral to sign up for our services.

Service Affecting, Maintenance and Account Related Emails

All Simple will send email notifications to customers if there is a problem affecting their service or if there is a risk that their services will be disrupted. We need to send these emails so that customers are aware of issues so they can make necessary changes to accommodate this. We do not send notifications for very low risk maintenance or testing, only when it will probably end in downtime. Customers may also be contacted with regard to their service if, for example, they have exceeded resources, have security risks or problems with their account or transactions.

Storing of personal data

We take the security of your data seriously, continuously reviewing security measures. This also means only keeping personal information that is necessary and only for the time it is needed for the contract. Any customer that has cancelled their services with us and has no affiliate referals or balance outstanding will have all their details destroyed after 12 months.

Data breach procedures

If a data breach were to occur, we will follow the GDPR guidelines and time-frames for informing customers of all details as soon as possible, being clear and informative. This is then gives the customers the ability to make any changes they wish to make.

Extra information consent

We do not collect any ‘extra’ information that we do not legally need, but if we were to ever want to collect more, you would need to grant your consent for this and have full control for what we use it for. This would able to be edited by yourself whenever you like.

Marketing consent

Occasionally, we send out marketing emails which may include new services, free trials, newsletters, surveys and competitions. These will need to be opted-in by a customer to receive. These will always be via email and never by phone or post and only ever from All Simple.

Cookies

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer's hard drive by your browser. All Simple may make use of cookies. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information. Most browsers allow you to turn off the cookie function. If you want to know how to do this please look at the help menu on your browser. You do not need to allow your browser to accept cookies in order to use our service.

Right of Access

You have the right to access the personal data that is held about you with us. If you wish to receive a copy of your personal data that we hold, please open a support ticket here to let us know. Personal data requests will be processed within 28 days.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to be forgotten from our system, if you wish this to happen, all data will be destroyed within 28 days. To request for your details to be destroyed, please open a support ticket here to let us know. Please be aware that for legal reasons, we will keep any original invoices for your account. If you request to be forgotten, the erased data can not be reversed and any previous pricing will not be brought forward.

Changes to Policy

This Privacy Policy may be modified occasionally, so please review it frequently. Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on our websites. If we materially change the ways in which we use or share personal information previously collected from you through our services, we will notify you by email.
